Northern Ireland
Take a tour of Westeros in real life, where most of it was filmed in Northern Ireland. Although most of the outdoor locations you see on the series are not as easily open to the general public, there’s still a guided tour you can get that will take you to the iconic locations. Some of the popular stops on Game of Thrones filming location tours include the Dark Hedges which you will recognise as the King’s Road, Magheramorne Quarry (Castle Black), County Antrim’s Murlough Bay (the Iron Isles), and Castle Ward in County Down, where parts of the scenes of Winterfell were shot.

Morocco
Morocco is the location where they filmed Daenerys Targaryen’s arduous journey toward reclaiming her birthright. A tour to this GOT film location will remind you of the dramatic victory of the Mother of Dragons in Slaver’s Bay.
Meanwhile, Yunkai, also known as the Yellow City, one of the 3 great Ghiscari city-states of Slaver’s Bay, was filmed in Aït Benhaddou, a 32-km UNESCO World Heritage red mud brick ksar that seems to have been frozen in time.
Representing Astapor, also known as the Red City and home of the Unsullied, the great army of the Khaleesi, was filmed in the Western city of Essaouira, another UNESCO World Heritage site that is definitely worth seeing.
